Most of the songs express the multiple facets of a failing system as a desperate warning. This album definately contains a nice variety of Club dance tracks! ELECTRO SYNTHETIC REBELLION immediately reminds you of classic recordings FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY,DECODED FEEDBACK, INFORMATIK and FRONT 242, but Vincent Pujol is also trying to bring in the known Old school sound and with some fresh ideas. Пожалуй не будет ошибочным утверждение, что в последнее время мы наблюдаем очередной всплеск интереса к мощной, мрачноватой, комплексной и до предела наполненной научно-фантастическими образами и подтекстами электронной музыке на стыке жанров dark EBM и old school электро-индастриал. Все больше молодых групп выбирают для себя более жесткую и сложную звуковую концепцию, да и к восторгу старых фанатов отдельные группы прошлого после долгого отсутствия возвращаются на сцену, демонстрируя хорошую творческую и техническую форму. А еще есть группы, которые никуда не исчезали и являются своего рода связующим звеном между молодыми музыкантами и ветеранами электро-индустриального движения. Именно к таковым отношосится французская команда ELECTRO SYNTHETIC REBELLION. Этот проект, возглавляемый Vincent Pujol, заметно прогрессирует от альбома к альбому и музыкант-перфекционист с редкой одержимостью и бескомпромиссностью продолжает оттачивать довольно изощренный, навороченный комбинационный стиль своих композиций. Поэтому можно с уверенностью утверждать, что пятый студийный альбом «Post-Industrial» на сегодняшний день является сильнейшим релизом в дискографии команды. Конечно же, музыка ELECTRO SYNTHETIC REBELLION сразу напомнит вам классические записи FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, DECODED FEEDBACK, INFORMATIK и SLEEPWALK, но Vincent Pujol также пытается привнести в узнаваемое «олдскульное» звучание некоторые свежие идеи. По части создания атмосферы музыкант делает ставку не на брутально-страдательно-истязательную дарк эстетику, а на суровый, беспросветный science fiction с ярковыраженным уклоном в агрессивный, динамичный киберпанк. Отсюда условный (неброский) мелодизм и большое количество разнообразных синтезаторных мелодий и эффектов, холодных пульсаций и острых покалываний, звучных арматурных вибраций и металлических грохотов, бурлящих секвенций, пружинистых отскоков и стрекочущих звуков, катящихся по наклонной энергичных битов и обработанных вокалов. Не является секретом и то, что при создании своих композиций французский музыкант использует исключительно непрограммные, hardware синтезаторы, стремясь добиться более объемного, физического, четко разложенного на детали и слои панорамного звучания. Такой подход всегда вызывает восхищение. Чистые вокалы на альбоме почти не встречаются, но все искажения мужского голоса и вокодерные эффекты за редким исключением носят умеренный характер, что отличает ELECTRO SYNTHETIC REBELLION от dark electro актов. Если на ранних альбомах группы иногда ощущалась некоторая нехватка запоминающихся мелодий и потенциальных хитов, то на «Post-Industrial» с этим все обстоит очень неплохо. Такие треки как «Tinnitus», «World Domination», «Fallen Angels», «Resurrected» являются главными претендентами на интенсивную клубную ротацию. Также у альбома имеется сильный вступительный одноименны трек «Post-Industrial», прекрасно задающий общее настроение и индустриализованное направление звучания всей работе. Подводя итог вышесказанному, можно сказать, что перед нами крепкая, целостная, комплексная, сохранившая дух true индастриала работа европейского качества. Особенно альбом ELECTRO SYNTHETIC REBELLION должен понравиться людям, начавшим активно слушать индастриал и ЕВМ в 1990-х годах, потому что корни «Post-Industrial» растут оттуда. И конечно же, нелишним будет познакомиться с музыкой француза и более молодым слушателям. |

Late news but good news!After weeks and hours mixing and mastering the new songs, I can tell that the new album is now recorded and mastered!
So what's the next step? Currently talking about the production and final release. It is probably going to take a few months before the album hits the streets but I'll keep the site updated with new information all along the process.
Also putting a final touch to the cover art.
Cannot say more at this time...but it'll be worth the wait! Dark Electro is the word, shhhh.

Busy is the word! The recording of the new album is in progress. Currently recording the final mix of the tracks and testing rough mix with vocals. So all I can say is that it's taking shape!
Also I've been working on a remix for a great EBM group. The remix will appear on the north american release of their new album later this year.
Last but not least, for those who have not read it yet, I highly recommend to read the open letter from Alan Wilder (Recoil, ex-Depeche Mode) published by Side-Line. A very interesting reflection about music in general in these days where things are harder than ever.

First of all ESR would like to wish you all the best for 2008 and would like to thank all of you for your support year after year!
When "Distorted Visions" was released back in 2001, I had no idea how long this would last and how many releases we'll be able to put out. 7 years later, ESR is working on its fifth full length which should be available later this year. Our first side project Bio-Mechanical Degeneration album has been released back in 2005 and I've been involved in a few other projects such as DIVERJE (3 collaborative albums) with my long time buddy Tommy T. whose latest album "Stitched" is doing great in the US.
As you know it, ESR is released in North America by the DSBP and recently by GRAVITATOR for Russia and CIS countries.
All this would not have possible without you, the listenners and fans! And your support is more than ever appreciated because the indie scene is in danger... Piracy, illegal downloads, file sharing are killing us all...It's getting harder for bands to find solid partners to release records. The indie industrial scene is in great danger so as I always say: Support your favorite artists and labels buy their CDs! Because whatever you can hear, there is no other valid economical model, no one is getting rich these days, it's just a matter of survival for the indie labels and artists.
